USA Cycling in an effort to increase the skills of their National Development team riders, contracted Shaums March // March Northwest to prepare riders for the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

Shaums will be hosting rider training camps in the technical terrain of the pacific northwest in an effort to expose the riders to various terrain and build skills in wet and dry riding conditions.

Shaums will also be attending select World Cup and Olympic preparation races, as well as visiting top riders such as Lea Davison in their hometowns to further push skill levels.

World Cup level courses have evolved and now contain "hairball" technical features that require riders to have advanced skills to be competitive at the highest level.

In response to this, USA Cycling has stepped up their game in order to produce athletes that are better prepared to medal at the Olympic games and world stage events.
